I put 60rds of brass through my SBR and It now has a patch about the size of my thumb down to the steel from brass kisses. |

I would like to pick up another 556P to SBR via my corp., if I had the spare $. I'm thinking of using it as a platform to T&E some parts I'd like to manufacture. Lately, things have been lean so I've traded old gun parts to pick up the things I needed for my SBR. That has worked out well and helped clean out the safe. |
| very nice. I want a 552 conversion very badly. I feel in love with the 552 after shooting one at a machine gun shoto a few years back. |

Eventually this will wear an Aimpoint T-1 in LaRue mid-height mount. Not pictured is the Swiss Arms railed fore-end that I was fortunate to score from Larry Gaglio when he was clearing out all his SIG stuff a few months ago. It is a Swiss Arms product improved variant of the B&T 552 rail that is made from billet aluminum as opposed to the B&T which I seem to recall Larry telling me started life as a casting. This rifle started life a one of the first series of 556 rifles. I sent it to Frank Hatten at Antique and Modern Arms. He modified the 556 receiver and barrel to 552 spec, then used the parts from my 552 kit (which was also purchased from Larry Gaglio, but about 3 years ago). More pics to follow once it is complete, but here are a few that Frank sent me of the build in progress: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/567/joshs552leftinprogress.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7554/joshs552rightinprogress.jpg Man that is sick, I would love to follow in your footsteps some day. |
