Honestly if eyesight is an issue and you want better performance, you'd be better off just getting a B&T picatinny adapter and using a modern optic. Those STANAG scopes suck, and I say that as someone who owns a few and uses them on retro HK/FAL setups. I toyed with the idea of using some of my spare Hensoldts on a 551, but seeing what was involved in this thread, I decided that was a no-go. |

I like all that old, obsolete stuff. I have a Hensoldt Model 1 and a Z24. I also have old night vision scopes I play around with. I'm just a plinker having fun. Just a few weeks ago, I had my CETME LVS out and I was getting consistent hits on an 8" steel plate at 400 yards and a fair amount of hits at 500 yards using plain ol' 55GR PPU. type Status report message description Access to the specified resource has been forbidden.
