Have just under 1400 rounds through mine, most of them suppressed with zero problems.

It's a little front heavy for sure but that's the price you have to pay for suppression. I didn't have the cash to get into one of the new titanium AAC suppressors but that would probably be perfect. Scored a hog last month with this setup and the report didn't even register with the others. I could have taken all five of them if I had wanted but thats way too much skinning in one day for me. I don't run the rifle suppressed unless I'm hunting with it anyway. The suppressor normally sits on my 556 SBR.

Great pics guys.  I've wanted a SCAR for a while now and have been holding off my purchase in hopes of black SCARs hitting the market soon.

Somewhere around 9 lbs.. but this gun is so amazingly balanced, you don't feel it at all. When at the range I had a guy shooting an AR and some AK's give it a shot - First words out of his mouth were "Damn this thing is light!" He wouldn't believe me when I said that was two pound optic sitting on top. To some the SCAR might look bulky and heavy, but in your hands it just feels right.

Nice. I know the Eclan's weight is high. Looks good. Is this everyone that has a SCAR on arf.com? Looking for some more eye candy before i take the plunge!

Here's mine.
Same rifle, different pics.  I've moved the Eotech further forward, installed a magpul grip and installed covers over the hooks since the pics were taken.  I store extra CR123 batteries in the rear of the stock.  I'd like to upgrade to Troy sights (when available) and make it a SBR (when available).  I must prefer shooting it suppressed over my ARs.  The FNP-45 is now gone.  I replaced it with a HK Tactical.  I'll probably pick up a FNP-45 USG Military sometime later this summer.

Oh wow, someone here is finally gonna try for it...

Do you know what size barrel you are going to go down to? Who are you going to have cut it down? Keep us updated man because from what most have been hearing is mostly problems when you cut down the barrel on the SCAR.

Don't cut that barrel, you'll be sorry.  FN uses a very hard non ductile chrome lining on that barrel to give it a 30,000 round count.  Others have cut their SCAR barrels (find info on this at FNforum) and found significant degradation of acuracy due to the chrome lining chipping away at the crown.  Contact FN and ask them.  I was told this @ SHOT when I asked their LE rep about it.

I am not sure which route I am gonna take between cutting the factory barrel or having one custom made.  I do know that my last Form 1 took over 6 months so I thought that by the time it arrived there may be some options.  It would be nice if CMMG twisted one up.

Cheers

I noticed you have the gas port turned to the 1 oclock position. Does that reduce the gas to the bolt? I'm about to put a suppressor on mine and I do not have any info on the gas adjustment.

That's not his gun, as he states in his post.

Read your manual (and take your gun apart). But to answer your question, yes..having it notched over is for shooting suppressed.
