I'm doing an SBR form 1 for a AR15. I know you can amend an existing registration, seen here: https://texasguntrust.com/how-do-i-change-the-registered-configuration-of-my-short-barreled-rifle.html But can you, and how/where in a NEW form 1 application do you list additional calibers, barrel lengths, etc? I'm using Eforms as an LLC. Thanks |

| I did one that I plan to use as a 9mm but the lower is rollmarked as 5.56 caliber. We have an AWB coming up and I didn't want to risk them disapproving it so I submitted it as 5.56 and then added "also used as 9mm with alternate upper receiver" in Box 4h "additional description." It was approved this week. |

I’ll skip the old joke that fits here, but you can put ANY upper on an SBR AR lower, regardless of caliber or length. The database needs a number for length, and an entry for caliber. That’s all. I have several SBR lowers. One has a Glock mag well, but the others are all standard. I can put a Colt 9mm magazine adapter in any of them, put a 10” 9mm upper on it, and it’s cool. Then I can take out the mag adapter and put my M4gery upper on the same lower and it’s still cool. |
