I have a Ruger American ranch in 300 blackout that is 16 inches that I use with a can. What advantages will I gain if I SBR it and cut off the barrel down to the fore end? Attached File |

My Springfield AR15 in 300 has, I believe, a 10.5 barrel. You gain shortness, maneuverability, since your running subs velocity shouldn't be a big deal. My Ruger Ranch in 300 BO w/ Red Dot is one of my most fun guns. |

OP there’s just about zero point to a 16” .300blk, chop it as short as you can. |
