I've had my Tavor SAR for a long while. Tinkering with light placement has been an ongoing project. I think I've finally settled on something, having tried out the newish Pro mount system. I have a thing for 12:00 lights that don't obscure the optic or cast shadows, and this achieves that ( i really dislike offset lights). Cord management is tidy. The Unity switch sticks out further that I'd like, but can actually be used ambi with a reverse c-clamp hold shooting lefty. I could use a tailcap clicky if I chop up the plastic top cover a bit. Ill probably source a 2nd one and try it. Also a single-cell Scout probably makes some sense due to muzzle position, but i like throw. Gotta put my TA-33 back on and get to the range, but this seems like a nifty set-up thus far

I, too, like a 12 o'clock WML where practical. I lose the front BUIS w/a TLR RM2 at 12 on my X95's (doesn't block FOV and the remote switch is both momentary & constant-on), but don't consider that a big issue when using a quality RDS.  Attached File |

I had a 12 o clock WML on a rifle once, and wound up really disliking it in practice. Personal preference is a VFG used more as a big hand stop, and the pressure switch right near my thumb, with the light offset to the opposite side of the charging handle. Slings up better, easier to activate, gets the light out of my FOV.   |
