Want to replace with PMM M-Lok rail.

Is hitting the bolt on the factory rail with a soldering iron enough heat to remove it?

I used a hair dyer, worked just fine. I imagine any heat source will do.

It depends on how much if any loctite 603 they use at the factory. I've removed some that barely had any, and some that were caked. 20 seconds with a propane torch always seems to work fine. Safe to remove the barrel from the gun so you dont melt the polymer side rails.

Mine was a bitch, heat did nothing. Long story short, I had to replace the front barrel support, and that thing should cost 10 bucks, but noooo. After i found one I shelled out 8x that. Lol

The PMM mlok is bad ass tho, ended up going that route as well.

Soldering iron did the trick.

Also, if anyone's on the fence, the Parker Mountain Machine side rail elimination panels, and the M Lok lower rail are well, well, well worth the money.
