Curious if this was something that was optional or home made. Bought a used top folder and it had a carry handle attached to the folding part of the stock. Haven’t seen anything like it when looking at other pictures of the stock

I've never seen one of those. I absolutely love the retro vibes it gives off and would love to have one. But I sold off my Remington top folder years ago when I got offered the right amount of money for it. I'd guess the handle is aftermarket, but it could very well be a low number run custom accessory that never took off. Although it would be stamped Remington if it was a factory part. There was a ton of aftermarket stuff in the 1980's, which would be right for that stock & handle. |

I google searched the photos I took but nothing ever came back. I also see it’s missing the snap rings. I assumed from the grooves it had some type of C clip that was missing. I wasn’t planning on using the handle but I’ll hang on to it now. |

So a Google search says that there have been several gun and parts makers in El Monte around the 60's-80's including National Ordnance. If it was possible to figure out who that P.O. Box belonged to you'd have a manufacturer maybe. Super freaking cool I want one for my topfolder. |

Probably some shop catering to LEO, especially since SWAT was basically born in LAPD in 67. Just a swag though. Kinda looks like something Sage Intl would have done but they're not West coast. Maybe hit up Vang or Wilson, they're been in those circles long time and might know something about it. |
