| I see a few of the original style (not the Ultimate) on Gunbroker in the $5-600 range. Are these still desirable? I sold off mine many years ago but it was very servicable. |

What's yours' ignition system? They came in at least 3 different versions - I have one of each. In decreasing age & increasing desirability order = percussion nipple, an odd one that I'm not sure how it works (never tried to use it), and one that a 209 primer clips onto the face of the bolt. What's the serial number? If it has a ML prefix, it's one of the older versions. My 209-based one has no s/n prefix. I have a like-new one that fires 209 primers. I used to take it, with the now-defunct Leupold UltimateSlam 2-7x33mm scope on it, out hunting in ML season. I have since moved on to Savage ML-II smokeless MLs, then to custom SMLs, so I don't use it any more. Maybe someone can get $500-600 for the third version, but I'd bet more like $400, probably $300 for the cap-fired models. There are just too many inexpensive alternatives out there. Go to GB Advanced Search, search completed auctions, and that will tell you what they are actually selling for. Condition and what else comes with it will have an effect. |
