Title sums it up. Just received my 2nd MK9 from Shaw. I need a Bixler 3 lug HUB mount like my 1st MK9 has. It appears Shaw is no longer making this mount. I saw the new Rugged version, but it seems it may degrade can performance due to the can volume it takes up. Suggestions on an available Bixler style 3-lug HUB external mount setup for my MK9 on MP5K clone? @amphibian? |

I don’t think the Rugged RU3 takes up that much internal space. Certainly much less than low profile spring loaded 3-lug mounts like the SiCo one. If you’re really worried, you can get a HUB extension from ECCO machine. https://www.eccomachine.net/product/1-375-24-bravo-hub-extension/ |

I have attached pictures of my MK9 purchased last year, with the Bixler mount, as well as the one I picked up a few days ago. Ultimately, I want them both to have the Bixler style mounts for my MP5 clones, as well as possibly my 9mm AR. I would also like to have hub mount caps for them, in case I want to try them on different guns. I also need to get in touch with Shaw to get wrenches for these end caps. | Sorry, when I see MK9, I think of the original AWC MK9. Sucks Shaw decided to re-use the MK9 name. So yeah, the current runs are hub threaded. I got an email back from them on Friday that they are going into production of Bixler mounts in September. They will also be introducing a new compact Bixler variant and still sell the original style. I like the original style better. Depending on the can, it is noticeably quieter when the muzzle is placed further away from the blast baffle and with the OG design and small OD of the nut will fit under any AR rail in existence. Which obviously may not be a thing if not mounting to an AR. |

Got an email from Joe, he says a run of them is scheduled for Sept (as amphibian said above). Got another email from Shaw, stating the Rugged unit will work. I think I saw Amphibian test that one, though, and find it was significantly louder. It's close enough I'll wait for Shaw to make their run, then buy a few. |

Below is considerably quieter. Again, this is suppressor specific. Something like the Sub9 is designed to be used with their mount and probably sounds great. In this example the muzzle is too close to the blast baffle and noticeably louder with the the RU3 mount.  |
