My son is turning 6 in a couple of weeks. He currently has a Red Ryder, and his shooting skills have progressed beyond the abilities of that gun. It's terribly inaccurate, and causes him more frustration than joy. What's out there these days that would fit a tall, skinny 6yo, that takes both hands to cock a Red Ryder? I'd like it if he can cock, and load it, all on his own, and have the capability to accept pellets. Right now I'm leaning towards a crosman multi-pump, but I've been out the airgun game for 20 years and not sure if there's something better out there these days. |

I just picked up a Crosman 362 multi pump. Length of pull is much shorter than the 1322 series (better for kids), but you get all the parts availability. I put a steel breach and scope on mine right away. Pump stroke is quite easy up to 5, becomes stiffer 6-8. If I was a kid I’d take it over the 760 that was omnipresent back in the 70’s. |
