These are designed to be the shortest HUB compatible mounting system available. The system is Plan B compatible (Q, Rearden, ect.) and designed to work with with the most common AR15 barrel/handguard combinations in current use. The flash hider is recessed over the barrel to minimize OAL and the gap between the handguard and silencer. We are currently running these in 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 with heat treated or black nitride finishes. Here is the Night Howler with LP HUB Adapter:  Here is the Recessed Night Howler:  Here is the gap left with the Recessed Night Howler and LP HUB Adapter:  This is shown on a 16" barrel with a 15" handguard. The barrel must be a minimum of 1" (ideal length differential) longer than the handguard for clearance. Also, it will not work with gas block journals larger than 0.750" |
What is the measurement on that gap? I've got a 7.94" barrel on the way for a 7" rail...

I assumed 1/2" and gave the guys the shims to send with it. The wrench size is 13/16" Let me know if it all fits up well and we will figure something out for you if not. |

Out of curiosity, how do you install and remove the HUB adapters on that silencer? Does it use some kind of vise block or are there tool grooves that I'm not seeing? |
