It’s like there’s something just slightly off with the pin holes in the rear of the gun. To get the HK Parts trigger housing to fit, I had to create more space in the front hole (of the trigger housing) towards the magwell and more space toward the rear of the gun in the rear hole. I’m only talking a couple of millimeters but there’s no way the pins were going in without the work. As I said earlier, the HK trigger housing listing on HKParts had comments from several users saying the housings had to be “fitted”. I thought that was unusual. |

Have not tried in my AP-5M or HKs yet. |

Opened the fed ex package this afternoon. About 8 minutes later I was in the back yard frt’ing with my MKE AP5. Just put 100 rounds through it. But very quickly. No tuning. No fiddling. Funny thing is I forgot to even try standard semi auto. Worth $680? Only you can decide. |

Finally got to shoot mine yesterday. Shot two mags on semi. No issues. Then flipped the switch and ran about 300 rounds though it. Not one ftf, fte, or any issue at all. Feels identical to the full auto M4 I use at work. I have a feeling these may be on borrowed time pending who's in office next. If you're thinking of getting one, get it while you can. |

I received one as a thank you gift and put it in a new AP5 SD. Very easy install, and ran perfect for a few hundred rounds. I have a SS a Lee Sporting lower in a AP5 P that also runs great. I had access to real MP5K's and SD while I was working for a major gun company. The FRT's run just like them at a fraction of the cost. A relative sold his HK MP5K before the surge of FRT's. Thank goodness he did. Sold it for $45K. He's replacing it for less than $3K. My ammo fort is taking a serious hit.... |

I tested mine today. The set screw for the safety spring & detent backed out in the first mag resulting in a dead trigger. I screwed it back in with blue loctite. I'll have to test it again to see if it holds. Also, is the angle of anyone else's ambi selectors offset from each other? |

If the location where the FCG sits is the right dimension and placed such that a regular H&K FCG fits and functions, it’s probably GTG (yes, I know “probably” is a shitty answer). Not an expert on RB’s FRT, I’ve just been taking apart H&K FCGs this week. Side note: the HK FCG is actually a really interesting bit of engineering. Sure it will never be a precision trigger, but it is certainly modular and easy to mass produce/replace. Looking at a RB FRT, it’s interesting that they went with a more AR-ish hammer spring. It would be interesting to swap out the ejector assembly and see if one of the RB FRTs would work with a G3 or 516. |

| Remember- if you don’t want to cannibalize parts and want a standalone lower unit for your FRT, you’ll need an ejector (prev. typo- “extractor”) assembly (arm, spring,pivot pin). They take about 5m to install. |

I got the AMBI version of the RB trigger and had to modify the Magpul SL grip module (which is designed for the SEF selector) by drilling the selector holes on both sides significantly larger. Even then, the SL pictogram markings do not align with the selector markings. If you want to use the SL grip module, I suggest you buy the SEF version of the RB trigger. |

Brownell’s seems to have the best price on ejectors. H&K ejector I don’t think you will find one cheaper than $40.99 but you have to backorder it and wait.

| Finally got a chance to get my RB FRT equipped MP5k using an OCL Milkman out this past weekend. Ran flawlessly with 124 grain NATO. Syntec 150 grain subs didn't have enough ass to cycle the action. I didn't bring another 9mm suppressor with me to test if the lower power 150s would work. The RB FRT is truly amazing, I love it. |
| Anyone running these in an Ap5p? I'm thinking of getting one. I bought a navy lower I'd like to use if possible. I already got the real hk ejector and extractor and it runs great but I'm thinking it will be worth it if they are really just drop in and reliable. |

Dropped in and was reliable and incredibly fun. I just installed a 90* lp but haven’t been to the range yet. My gun ran great with all original equipment, but I have installed a HK extractor and am waiting on a backordered HK ejector. My thinking is, if I’m going for maximum rate of fire, I’d like eliminate any possible reason for failure. Since I’ve had no failures I think maybe I’m a little OCD.  |

When you are in this deep already, it doesn't make sense to wait indefinitely to save a few dollars when you could just buy one from Blue Ridge now. Everyone seems to be OOS on springs and axles now though, HK Parts says they have springs but the last one I bought from them didn't ship in HK factory packaging so I wouldn't trust them for parts like that. If I am going to pay HK prices then I want proof it is genuine HK. |

| Not sure if this is allowed but I ordered the wrong version of the trigger. I got the ambi version and I need the SEF one. Rare breed said the only difference is the safety selector, if anyone wants to swap safeties with me it would be greatly appreciated. Send me a PM if interested |

They told me the same thing, the other safety would be $116 shipped or something, I’m just trying to avoid dropping the extra cash and would rather trade with somebody before I have to buy it ETA: their customer service was great. Picked up the FRT-RD3 Ambi for my AP5-SD. Semiauto was a little weird when I first installed it, but after a few rounds it straighted right out. Not sure why it did that. Trigger feel is still mushy like the OEM one, but it is a little less mushy. Definitely not light, though. But who buys one of these for semiauto??  FRT mode works exactly as it should. Too much fun. I was running a Lee Sporting / War Hammer SS setup before. And while that setup ran flawlessly also, I was never a fan of how the aftermarket lower took away the classic look. FRT in action
