How deep are the flutes on these? Possible to cut and rethread to 5/8x24? Trying to decide if I should buy a Gen I or II for this project.

I was just wondering the same. Also anyone selling barrels in 7.62x39 for them?

I was also thinking about getting one set up for an ops inc style brake and collar and wondering if the fluting would complicate that.
