My guns are the Zenith MKE imports (clones). Z 5RS (MP5) & the Z 5P (MP5k) w/stocks (SBR). I'm setting-up both to run assisted reset (FRT) suppressed w/SiCo Spectre 9 & an occasional SiCo Hybrid for mag dumps. I'll be shooting either 124 grain and or 147 grain in both guns. I already have an 80 degree LP on hand for the K. So do I really need the same for the Z 5RS (MP5)? I've looked online and it isn't made clear to me. I also have the gauges to check bolt gap before/after installing LP. What are the acceptable ranges (. inches)? I usually take things in slow steps until I'm more familiar with the workings. Thanks in advance for your experience, knowledge and expertise. |

For determining the LP degree in my full size Zenith MKE Z 5RS; is it plainly marked 120 deg. on the LP? FWIW my MKE full size was delivered a pistol and now wears a stock. I'll consider buying a 100 degree LP if this is the case. Both guns will be shot suppressed. Eta: a quick internet search returned that the Zenith MKE Z 5RS shipped with the 100 degree LP. The MKE LP is not marked other than last 3 digits of serial number. Regardless I'll check and verify bolt gap. |

Regardless I'll check and verify bolt gap. No, not from MKE, and that's the problem. But, RCM has posted in the past that SP5s and AP5s came with 120 degree locking pieces and you should swap that out to a 100 degree when putting a stock on the gun. |

I have the Z 5RS an Z5P (Ap5 and the K) Since starting this thread, I'm now needing an SD So does it quiet the 115 grain 9mm to subsonic and is it gassy since it isn't an integral suppressor? And how dirty is that getting. |

RCM is wrong unless they are talking about the MP5SD, then yes. They did come with a 120 but since have moved to the 115. Factory 120's are like hens teeth to find and will cost a pretty penny if you find one. SP5's and K's both come with 100 as standard. Only the K may need something less once you start adding stock, can, and heavy bullets. The cloners must be using whatever it takes to make it run. But in general, put whatever makes it run that doesn't beat the piss out of it or make the cycle rate excessive. |

Thanks, for the reply. I thought it might have had the ported barrel and that would make it an SD. Does the HK imported one have a ported barrel? I'll likely just stick with the 2 I already have. I called Zenith today and they confirmed (at least the guy in their shop) that their old MKE imports were originally shipped with the 100 degree LP. |

I have a MAC that unsuppressed with their LP is fine in FRT mode. Put a suppressor on it and if you get through a mag without issues it's a miracle. Ordering a 100 degree to see if that fixes the issue. This one was a pistol without a brace or stock when I bought it also. I added a Magpul collapsible. |

My MKE AP5P came with a 100 degree LP. Runs great with 124's and 147gr suppressed with FRT. (Lee Sporting with a SS) I do have the AP5 SD on the way, and I plan to hold my nose and get a RB drop in. I will see what LP comes in it, and may try a 90 degree if it's any thing other than a 100 degree LP. |

Following up - I recently ran an frt trigger pack in the Zenith MKE Z 5RS (MP5 clone). The 2-stage trigger was decent; in the forced reset position it ran like a scalded dog with no issue. However, I measured/checked the bolt gap and it was at the bottom range .0105" or a tight .011". To move it up I ordered +3 locking rollers. My MKE k clone after swapping to 80 degree LP was in spec .015" |
