I'm looking at getting a non-ti suppessor for a .300 blk. Someone recommended the Q Blind Tiger due to it's lower weight, and good suppression. Also, I am looking at the Anthem S2. The S2 is a couple ounces heavier, and has a louder frp. Budget is under 1k out the door. Any advice? Thanks! |

If I were looking at suppressors Q wouldn't even be on my radar, not even close, not even in the universe. No offense but there are tons of better cans out there for 300 BO. Go to Silencer Analytics and search for 300 bo . Plenty of CAT, PTR, SIG Hexium, Rhino, and many others. I wouldn't pay the Q 'tax' for a can of his. Plus 12.5 oz isn't exactly light. |

As suggested, look at CAT or Sig, or some other more relevant designs. Plus, Kevin Brittingham is a pompous ass, and is well known to be such. Hell, I'd get a Dead Air again over a Q. Especially when something like the Sandman X is not much heavier than the Blind Tiger and made out of Haynes 282, which is a very durable alloy. Q doesn't even say what kind of stainless steel they use on the Blind Tiger. |

I haven't shot the Blind Tiger yet (soon), but I have the Thunder Chicken, Trash Panda, Speakeasy, and a bunch of other brands. From what I've seen/heard in videos, it's very similar to the Trash Panda, but better supersonic performance and stainless steel construction. I really like my Speakeasy for that reason (SS > Ti) and the fact that the quickie mount is welded in and can't come loose. All the other competitive 14oz cans are Titanium and the Speakeasy performs towards the top of the pack of similar size cans and sound. Backpressure is medium low. Answer to your question of BT on AR-15, sound of TP (which BT performs worse case identical too), expect FRP. It'll be a little punchy down range but not at the ear. Subsequent shots will sound very good and similar to the longer cans like the Speakeasy. If you have to have no FRP, get the Speakeasy over the BT. The BT is $800, has the Q quickie interface welded in and comes with a muzzle device. As you mentioned it's 12 ounces which for 7" SS can with that performance, is the lightest I am aware of, and about the same weight of a lot of similar sized titanium cans. Since the BT is shorter than the Speakeasy, it should have even less back pressure. If you must have the lowest back pressure in the size with best sound, the Hexium 762, CAT RAT/ODB, of course would be better choices, however you'd lose the SS construction. Given you are using a DI AR, you can tune the gas control at the gas block so I'd take the SS construction over the former cans, especially in 300blk which the design parameters actually requires some back pressure to function without adjustment between supers use and subs suppressed. Piston driven host, the low back pressure nature of the Hexium, CAT would be more important. Lastly I have had some minor part break issues on my Q guns and I did blow some baffles on a full auto Glock. The few times I've used Q CS they were super easy, quick, and helpful. It's funny how easy people suggest these companies who do a lot of outsourcing and or only have been in business for a couple years. Seeing the Dead Air recommendation is funny. Not too long ago I remember a lengthy thread of people who couldn't get a response back from them on RMAs. I also tried contacting them at the time with zero luck. Equally funny are the recommendations of fly by night "latest and greatest" companies. |
| I personally wouldnt consider a Q can. I know this is going to seem like s strange endorsement but I just got a BOE Incolite 9 for a 9mm pcc but tried it on my 300 BO after seeing a video online showing how well it perfoamed and I was surprised. It was quieter than my 30 cal can that I had been using. |

I have a Blind Tiger and use it on my Honey Badger. Bought it just for the gun. I really could care less about Kevin and what not. Personally I find the shit he posts funny because it seems like he just baits people. Hell this world needs villains. Anyway about the can, sounds decent I’ve compared it to a BT srbs, radical defense cs3 and a couple others I can’t remember right now. Definitely not the best cans to compare it with but it’s what I have. Like the others have said, there are better cans out there but it’s not a disappointing can if that’s what you’re worried bout. I see them go on GB for around 650. |
