A bunch of my issued gear. Waiting on my Weesatch.   This new pack is a million times better than the MOLLE. I personally love it for humps.  Issued LBV, kevlar, and Camelbak (notice the tactical replacement valve). Can't wait to get the Weesatch.  Interceptor.  My SAPIs. I'll probably put em in the Weesatch when I get it, the front one digs into my upper chest pretty good when I wear em.  The back of the SAPI. |

Scooby223 why would you have youre IFFAK on the pack? Seems to me it would be better to have the first aid kit on youre personal gear. If youre going to get shot, youre more likly to have youre dues gear then the pack on. Past that, youre gear looks alot like mine. |
Yeah I know what ya mean, but when we go on humps, our Gunny likes it on our pack. Of course we'll put it on our gear when we deploy. Plus when we hump, the canteens and anything on the back go in our pack since they just get in our way. The new pack is a decent improvement over the old MOLLE. Lots of space, features and it fits great on your body. The only thing I don't like is all the straps, just kind of makes it look messy. Otherwise it's great. |

Personally the ILBE just doesnt fit me. I broke both the zippers on the sides first time I tried to take my sleep system out the sides. Like the Molle, I cant shoot in the prone with it on. As you said, its got too many straps, we dont need 4 straps on each side when 2 would get the job done. Also, I have yet to see a practicle use for the diper flap on the pack. However I do really like the day pack, and I like how you can take off the waist belt. The tall skinny design makes it harder to pack efficently. Im not happy with it, but at least it last longer then the Molle. Ooo-RAH. |
Anybody know where I can get a good, cheap, M83 vest? I'm looking for a tan one. I have seen the camo, and black, ones, but would actually prefer tan. I remember seeing them at CTD a while back, but they are out. I checked ebay, but didn't see any tan M83s. Thanks Robert |
CTD Camo veset + spray paint might be the easiest route. "Real" M83 vest go for over $80-100 if you can even find them now. The other option is to have a sharp eye and watch the EE, one usually pops up for a few hours every couple of months, but they get snatched up quick! |

This new stuff sure beats the shit out of my old Alice pack and LBV. All is new except for the knee pads, Omega holster and most of the rifle. Just threw on a YHM 2 piece, the eotech and the BUIS the other day. Before it was just a generic M4gery with carry handle. MAV two piece with center block and a camelback Motherload with TT triple pouches on the sides  X-harness is on the way  Gonna go get dirty this afternoon, nice and rainy out side

Sweet carrier. Does it cover your gut. I don't mean gut like a "spare tire", but protection against a gut shot? Looks like it stops short at the bottom of your rib cage/thorax. |

As I wear it, it stops at the bottom of the ribcage, but I've got it as high as it will go; you could certainly wear it lower if you like. And I'm not concerned about protection, since I'm not using it with plates.  |
Another good idea, what I do, is wear it as high as it goes (as high as you've got it on), as in.. it's not made to go that high, I need to modify the velcro on the webbing adjustments for it to be 100% secure. And, just below that.. wear some form of a modular belt. Adds 2-3 rows, a total of 8 (for my small). Also, another idea is to put the pistol mag pouches on that modular belt, so if you ever need to ditch your rig, you at least have your secondary on your dropleg, or whatever, and spare mags on your belt. Just my idea |
I have my gear set up to "dress around" my normal pistol/mag carry setup, which is belt-mounted. |

Studdermonkey.. That is what I have mine set up like right now. Tactical tailor mod. belt with...(2) pitolpouches on left side like my duty rig., mini GP behind them for various items, leftside drop leg panel with UMPdouble and (2) more pistol pouches...right side is a 6004 in the HSGI platform..with (2) more pistol pouches.. Total SHTF rig..If I have to ditch the CIRAS, I can still have at least 4 extra AR mags and 6 pistol mags.. Will try to post pics..I had Gene make all the pouches in a custom Coyote..little lighter than normal, but darker than khaki. Gotta get the camera up and running.. |
My Eagle plate carier w/cumberbund. It's not done yet, but this is what I have so far for pouches. (1.) One Eagle MLCS double/single AR mag pouch (2.) One Eagle Med pouch (3.) One no-name brand triple AR/triple pistol mag shingle. This pouch is gone when my other pouches arrive. On order: (1.) One Eagle double AR/quad pistol pouch (2.) One Eagle Admin pouch. Need to order: TT triple AR mag shingle. |

Thanks for the compliment, but apparently picture taking does NOT make the list. It’s about 50/50 at this point for my pictures turning out OK. |

I've got an Eagle PC without the cummerbund (didn't want or need it) and like it just fine! A buddy of mine has a Weesatch and I've played around with it a bit. I like its cummerbund design (doesn't wrap all the way around), the location of the side buckles and the full-length back panel better than the Eagle, but I don't like the bib/front buckle setup, the internal mag pouches (not an issue on the Woo, of course) or the way it fits/hangs in general. |

Keller.. I was going to replace my Wee with a Woo... I just used the malice clips on the back of the pouches to connect the upper and lower of the Weesach. If I ever want to go back, I just take the pouches off. Hey studdermonkey..heres the pics I told you I would post This is a pic of the belt set up with 6004 in an HSGI rig with 2 extra pistol mags..right side drop leg subload with HSGI UMP only have 4 30 rounders in it..will hold 6, along with 2 more pistol mag pouches..left side on the belt, I have two pistol mag pouches and a mini GP... Think that covers it all..This is the Custom Coyote color I was telling you about...Little darker than khaki  Here it is with an Eagle CIRAS(khaki) and 4 more of the HSGI UMPs.  |
