This is a good lightweight design, but may be one of those at the limit of M2AP at the spec velocity and nothing much more. Or the age of the plates may have had some unknown rough handling? 5.56 handled without issue :D. At $450/set on the used market they are an easy win if they were treated right by the previous owner.
