SSS isn’t really an option in town to me outside when it’s not an imminent threat so I’m going with this. I wanted something high quality that was as simple as possible and that I could leave a battery connected to. I’ve never had airsoft before but wanted something that’d I’d also enjoy messing around with besides it being used as a dog deterrent. It appears I may want to upgrade to the brushless 28K motor at some point but we’ll see. Attached File |

I’m looking at a shock wire around the top of our fence. Big dog jumps on it barking and decided he could jump over it. Used air soft & pump pellets on previous big dogs, but, after being chided by DH, I no longer want to chance hitting them in the face (eyes). Bratty dog… had to pick up his front legs and walk him from the alleyway around the yard to the gate. He didn’t like it but he had no choice. Since then, he’s been my best buddy…too much so, kinda Klingon. |

i guess my cats being outside about half the time are a bit different. The dogs have all learned not to mess with cats. The dogs used to chase the cats, and the cat would run. For a little bit. Then the cats would do a 180 and charge the dog going into full buzzsaw on the way. But what has actually worked best for me in dealing with dogs has been pepper spray. Whether for human consumption or the animal only variant. Specifically SABRE RED is what we carried on duty. The human version is bad enough. The animal variants will cause skin to start to peel so be careful with it. Many times i've seen dogs start turning around mid air after receiving a blast of OC spray. |
