I have an AEM3 recessed under a URX4 for about 1.5" and after two mag dumps it makes the rail all the way up to the chamber VERY hot. So hot that you need gloves. I think it would be manageable in a carbine class so long as you're wearing gloves, and normal range shooting once every second without gloves. |

| awesome. i see you took off the side rail panels too. was going to do that if i put together one as well. likely replace the top long rail with one of the small side rails just either a peq15 or irons. im feeling, slick tube + peq 15 c + either an rmr or other rds ONLY no irons. |

ADCO's fitment guide says the shoulder of the collar is right at 12" but I'm not sure what collar that measurement is for No. The suppressor would have to be partially under the handguard for a 14.5" barrel and a rifle handguard. And the KAC RAS is too small to fit a can underneath. You would need a 16" barrel. Refer to the pics I posted of my 16" upper with Geissele handguard. It's a close fit. |

Question for Ron Allen: I want a suppressor that I can use on multiple guns in .22 and .30cal, I've heard you can get the .22 cans drilled out for .30cal.... is this correct?
Option 1 would be an AEM4 drilled out for .30 which would be good because I could employ the 1 piece brake/mounts available from Spikes tactical on some of my harder to fit rifles and avoid barrel machining for collars. Option 2 would be an AEM5 drilled out for .30 which would be nice because I already have a MK12 and because its a little larger suppressor for taming the blast.... but it would be a pain in the ass to adapt a couple of my rifles for collars, is it possible to get a 1 piece brake and collar made for the AEM5? |

You'd get a faster response by emailing him or calling him. He can make custom collars. |

Well I managed to get Ron on the phone and he can do a lot of custom stuff including a collar that mounts against the shoulder of the barrel so that the brake effectively locks it in place when its screwed on. He can also do different opening sizes for various suppressors but of course there are trade offs involved. I may just look at buying more than one suppressor, while a single do it all unit sounds great in theory the reality is you end up with a compromise that won't be ideal for all situations. |

A PSS barrel is .830 in diameter. I was drawing a conclusion based on the picture on page 1 under the .30 caliber section. There is a picture in the PSS/Medium contour section that shows what I'm assuming is a medium barrel with the 20 degree step and muzzle device. |
