I'm posting here as I'm shooting this in a Ruger American and curious if others with a similar rifle have similar results. In short, I'm not getting particularly good groups with the Nosler Trophy Grade 165 gr 308. I've only shot maybe half a box (expensive) but I'm getting around 1.5 - 2" groups. My handloads, on the other hand, are closer to 1" groups. I also have some Nosler Match that also groups a bit better. The Trophy Grade are intended for hunting and I guess at my likely distances 2" groups should be fine, but would be nice if it shot better. Might just go back to handloads but I "thought" these might be better. If you have shot these, do you find them to group well? I'm sure my skills (or lack of) contribute to this, but the handload groups would indicate I'm at least capable of around 1" groups There were from sight-in sessions. Two outdoors at 100 yards and two indoors at 100 yards. I'm shooting suppressed and the heat mirage starts to impact things after just a few shots so I did the Trophy Grade shots first. I suppose there could be some effect of barrel temp and maybe it just shoots better hot. The Nosler group measured 1.52" (using software) indoors. The handload group measured .92" indoors

If you are handloading, my loads above with Varget were originally developed for my AR10. I found 41.0 - 41.5 gr Varget under the 168 gr Nosler Custom Comp to give the best groups for me. I won't be shooting the Trophy Grade in my AR as I bought them partly for the brass for reloading and my AR isn't very kind to brass.
