I had a TL30 when I owned a pawn shop. It weighed about 3,000 pounds. I bought it at a state surplus property auction for $450 (cost me more than that to have it moved). I looked up the cost for a replacement. IIRC it was about $10,000. Something like a TL30 isn't a practical solution for the average gun owner. Buy a mid-grade "gun safe" to discourage the smash-and-grabbers and to keep your daughter's deadbeat boyfriend at bay. Buy insurance to make you whole if a real thief decides to target you. |

It should be noted that the TL-30 rating on that safe is only for the door. Every other surface is weaker, so if it took 46 minutes to go through the side, it would have taken much, much longer to go through the door. The moral of the story is: if you can have only the door exposed, do so. It will be much more secure than having the side or top exposed. |

thats why i purchased a tl-30x6 if someone wants my shit they will need to work for it...also did you see how many tools it took to get it open? the average thief would never have that arsenal of tools to make a attempt. i still leave out my RSC as a decoy. the 30x6 i keep hidden as a extra layer of security |

My safe weighs 410 pounds and is in an awkward position under the steps. It’s also loaded with ammo and paperwork. Not a single gun in there. The arsenal is in the safe room, which you have to first find. Then get through the safe door. My safe is basically the decoy. |

Very good security. If I was in the market for another RSC, it'd most likely be the BFII. |
