Went to a new place that hooks me up on transfers. While picking up a few firearms I noticed a 10/22 on the used rifle rack. Serial number is in the first 110- range making it a 1970 dated rifle. It's in pretty damn good shape and the inside really clean. Either it wasn't shot much or someone did a number on it... the bore looks new. I paid $200... so I think that's a good deal, I like the older 10/22's from about 1980 and back.

Great find! Walnut stock, all metal trigger group. That's a steal for $200. I have my dad's 10-22. I was with him when he bought it, right around '71 or so. I'd have to look up the serial number again to be sure, but I'm pretty sure it's a 110 prefix also. Edit: 110-783xx. Making it a '71. He paid $49.99 IIRC, but it could have been $39.99. It was on sale, $10 off. |

I scored a 4-didget serial numbered rifle a couple years ago locally from a elderly man who bought it originally. It's a 1965 vintage, also in excellent condition. |

Nice  I still have an old one my dad gave me when I was a kid. Late 70s serial number. Mine doesn't have the barrel band, and I thought that was the way all of them were back then. 🤔 |
