Umarex Zelos .25 caliber arriving today. After adding scope and breaking it in, I plan on adding a 500cc bottle to replace the air reservoir tube.

| A buddy had one. There is a high power kit you can get on ebay that has heavier spring, opened up valve, smaller poppet and larger transfer port. He put one in and got some silly power from it. He made the mistake of making the barrel shorter for portability and made it stupid loud instead. |
| I've had this rifle for 3 months now and I really like it. Outstanding accuracy and power. Favorite pellet is 25.39 gr JTS Dead Center, JSB Match Diablos shoots about the same except they are more expensive. From 50 yards it will consistently shoot dime size groups, at 25 yards it's pretty much one ragged hole. Had to redo my target which was a large plastic box filled with rubber mulch as the pellets were exiting the back of the box, it now has a 1/2" piece of plywood in the back to stop the pellets. Shot count is low compared to my Avenger in .22, the Avenger gets close to 60 shots per fill vs 35 for the Zelos. It is too loud for backyard use without a suppressor, so it is now the host to a 3D printed can. I finally changed out the scope for a Vortex Diamondback 4-16x42 with high rings, big improvement over the Bushnell. It's not as compact as the Avenger but has better ergonomics. I'd say overall 7.5/10, if it had a bigger air tank 9/10. |

The forward acceleration of a brake, and the piston stopping on a spring air rifle are very similar in magnitude. Thus, many scopes are being reinforced to prevent damage from those accelerations. If the scope is rated for .338 Lapua to 50 BMG with brakes, then it will be safe even with "magnum" spring airguns. |
