I don't like the price very much, but I also don't think there's a ton of profit built in there. I'd imagine building a Garand from scratch is expensive. |

That’s what I did to this one, a Gun Shop ‘rescue.’ Original barrel was a tomato stake with high ME and TE readings. Shipped it to Shuff’s Parkerizing for re-barreling with a Criterion .308. We also re-stocked it with new Minelli wood. Now it’s a great shooter.  |

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

I can't see me buying 1, I got a Expert when they were $1K and had Fulton Armory tune it up and repark it for around $500 bucks. For $1500 bucks I have a "new" M1 Garand that I only shoot a couple times a year. |

You could make a lighter op rod, bolt, & receiver out of titanium, but given the geometry of the forged op-rod you're not gonna end up w/ something stronger w/o making it larger & thus changing the geometry. Dammit! How light could you make an 18" .308 Garand w/ a titanium receiver, op rod, & bolt?
