Decided to drop by the LGS while running a couple of errands earlier today, just because it was on the way and I hadn't been there in awhile. Saw some gaudy thing as I approached the lever action corner and just glanced at the tag, preparing to ignore it after sneering at some inflated price. Uberti, '73 carbine, .45, unfired and under a grand. Sure it's to the point where people are going to disagree on which side of the line it is for being tacky, but I'm willing to put up with that for a fair bit under what MSRP is on a plain new one. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File For some reason it was really hard to get a good image of the stock medallion. Top section reads "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway" I wish that there was a lot less shiny gold colored stuff, but at least the front sight should show up well against a dark target background.  If it wasn't still in double digits below zero outside, I do believe that these pictures would have been taken at the range instead of indoors.

very nice and 10 years ago i'd have jumped on it.. mine is a Winchester Lawman with a shiny chrome receiver...dropped a very nice buck a couple of years ago, he didn't notice the shine.. |
