Picked up a stanag magpul stock for Ruger American 5.56. Mags BARELY lock in and take a lot of force. Pain in the ass to release as well. This is all bolt closed. Bolt open it obviously works fine. Anyone else get one and having any problems? |
| Removing a loaded mag on a closed bolt is a pain in the ass on mine, but inserting a loaded mag is only a little tight. Empty mag or downloaded mag is ease, or at least easier. I like the stock but it's not the best. It's heavy, the barrel channel cut is to wide and it's to long. Knowing what I know now about it. I would have not gotten it and just kept it in the factory stock. Haven't decided if it's going to end up on the EE or if I'm going to keep it. I do like the looks and the feel. But the extra weight is not good. |
