Since all aftermarket scope mount options suck donkey balls and don't have picatinny rails I decided to tackle this issue. Right now the 3D printer went brrrrr and I have a pic rail directly over the bore unlike others. Been checking several different G/K43s for rail repeatability. So far it seems the rails I've checked (about 9) all give about a 8-10" tolerance at 100. Seems like all modern scopes should handle that with no issues. Got another tweak to get the elevation right for the 100yd zero. Windage was spot on out the door. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

| Please pardon my lack of knowledge of the operating cycle of the G43, but how does the spent casing eject with that adaptor right over the top of the bolt like that? Is there enough space for the case to get out with the scope mounted? |

Once those are done I'll switch to a rifle with the higher extractor and check it for function. |

I owned a Czech vz.54 for a while. It didn't come with the scope or mount, so I designed and 3D printed one. It worked fine. I ended up selling the rifle because finding the correct scope and mount was never going to happen and I ultimately didn't have an interest in "half" an original sniper rifle. |

| That’s really cool. Have you been able to shoot many different G-43’s? I have an AC45 d-block Walther and it seems to be a 4-6 moa gun. I have the repro Meopta optic on it, and shoot PPU 196 soft point ammo. Curious if your experience with this new optic mount gives you a feel for what they can do. |

Yes I've shot many g43s and G41s over the years. Some shoot well some shoot ok and some just go bang. Not many minty bores out there or good tight stocks. I'm in the process of turning a new barrel for one of my receivers and if it goes well I may start offering a G43 rebarreling service. I may even offer caliber conversions as well. I've had one in 243 and still have one in 308. Here is one of my better shooting ones... Attached File Not bad for 1950s surplus ammo. Attached File Still need to get handloads out for this one. It looks like the bolt carrier is hitting the locking bands. Is the glass clear and focused? Seem to hold zero well? |

| It hit the back band once and then I re-adjusted to give the drums more clearance. Repro mount issues I suppose. Glass is very clear; the little sheet metal retainers inside the turrets weren’t super snug when it was new, and the reticle would bounce. I crimped the retainers and it’s been great since then. |
