Gents, I received a PA 63 from a fellow member and need some help with assembly. There also seem to be some other parts in the box and I am unsure what I am working with. I would greatly appreciate any guidance from anyone who has put one of these together. I will post some pictures of the build and what I have leftover. Looking at the diagram in reference to the ejector I have the spring and ejector but I also have a longer spring and an extractor plunger, that shows up in another diagram but it's not shown in this one. Why is that? I believe I need the following: #18- Hammer Spring #21- Hammer Release Lever #33- Sear retainer Pin #40- Ejector  |

Finally made it to the range today to shoot the makarov. Holy cow that little gun is snappy! I ran 2 mags through it and only had one failure to feed. That was on the second round. No issues after that. Thanks guys!

Sorry and I just saw this. the high recoil spring for the PA63 will help and also the hammer spring replacement. For the snappiness, they have hogue grips for it that help with the recoil. otherwise, the .32acp is much more nicer to shoot and I think it was a mistake to do the 9x18 makarov. I didn't like it in the army when I was in and I don't like it now.... In fact, a PA63 is my allowed carry pistol in Hungary and I am certain they allow this purposely because they know its hard and painful to shoot. |
