So my Frankenstein 10.5 upper has had it. It’s causing light primer strikes, and I’ve fixed this upper tone and time again with adjusting gas port, springs, buffer weight. I’ve done it all Just looking for a new fully built upper that you guys are running well full auto Would love to hear not only the factory upper, but are you using enhanced springs anywhere? I’d prefer 10.2-12.5 and I understand longer is easier but this really is for my fun gun Looking for just as dependable as I can get Yes, I know 16 or 20 is easier, but I’m a difficult guy I guess Thanks all |

Sure I’ve replaced the hammer spring to an extra strength spring more then once to keep it going You brought up a good question How long do your hammer springs last? It’s gots thousands of rounds on it now The lower runs great with other uppers This upper is probably shot out |

Try a known working carrier with the existing bolt and see if it works. |

Sounds like you do have issues.. To really test you need tools but that might not be worth it to you to buy when you can apply the amount to a new upper. Before you get your upper, test a swap with a friend to see if you have issues follow either part. I remember a year ago at the outdoor range an old guy couldn't get his AR working, light primer strikes.. I came over and found a lot wrong on his build. Didn't do the tube depth right, hammer spring backwards, etc. I ripped it all apart and out it back together and it ran without issues. Not to say you have the same issue but there are definitely a few things that could cause that issue. |
