I feel like I'm about to disappoint you...  Yes, the hooks are from our Mohawk Retention Kit, made for us by Fernilab, if he's still around. The "retainer" itself is actually just a loop of shock cord (I got some of the fancy "Multicam" colored stuff from Amazon) that I tied into a loop, and then sandwiched between a South Carolina flag patch and a random piece of Multicam loop Velcro that was floating around my disaster of a workbench (I think I removed it from a helmet cover or some other piece of "tactical nylon" at some point for some reason...) and voilà:  It's actually a little loose because this helmet is normally set up for the FUSED battery pack (and hence why there's no Mohawk as well, still under development), but it was the only helmet I had with the Swift mount installed, which is actually a semi-permanent installation like the GSGM (needs tools to install and remove) because the RAILINK (and F-BINO) is out on loan currently... ~Augee |
