Shotgun transfer from a Kentucky dealer to a 55 year old Tennessee resident today. After the usual rundown of 4473 questions (including providing buyer's SSI #) the examiner circles back and asked for the buyer's full address, does the buyer resides inside the city limits? (Yes) and is this sale at Gun Show? (No). After providing the NTN the transfer is “Delayed”. We got a call back within the hour with a “Proceed” This is the first time I can recall the examiner asking for the additional data. Is this something new? |

The "city limits" question was added to the 4473 in August 2023. Today is the first time an examiner has asked for the answer to that question. |

| And asking for the address just means they are going to delay it. They always get cutesy and ask that first, then you know what's coming. But they won't tell you it's delayed first, then get the additional info. Routine delay status. |

| I haven't sold guns in a long time but as mentioned if the examiner starts asking for more information than normal a delay is probably in your future. They are just seeing some flags they need to check out. |

I used to live in a little place in the hood called The Village of Riverview, that was inside of St. Louis County, which borders St. Louis, the City... My Zip Code was 63137, but that zip covered Bellefontaine Neighbors, Glasgow Village, Riverview, and Moline Acres I filled it out as xxx Adrian Dr St. Louis, Mo 63137 Same as every other form I've filled out and every piece of mail I had gotten in 40 years. At least twice, they came back and needed clarification. |

The only hyphenated names I like are cartridge names......30-06, 30-40, 38-55 etc.
