I purchased my AP5 and AP5P back when Atlantic first started importing them from Turkey. I SBRd them just a few months of ownership. They’re both tack drivers and they’ve been absolutely issue free from the get go. In the last few years I’ve had them set up with a variety of stocks but I think the wood stocks are going to end up being the final configuration. The stock on the AP5P is a folder. The one on the AP5 is fixed. They really make the tiny rifles feel solid on the shoulder and they definitely distribute and soften recoil much better. They also offer a fantastic cheek weld, and they look great to boot! Here’s a few pics ..    |

The stock I found on some importers sight and the endcap was a hk parts buy. There was a thread similar to this one on wood but I can’t find it. Must’ve gone to the archives. There is a lot of play between the cap and receiver and the stock bottomed out a few 32nds shy of flushing out with the back edge of the cap. I wish I thought to check it before I drove it on there. Now I’m not sure there’s any getting it off |

Also think I might paint it but I kinda like the parkerizing. Your MP5 looks pretty damn good with the RAS. The end cap has a little play on my mp5 but I wouldn’t say it’s a loose fit. Still debating If I should take the stock off and install it on my 51. decisions, decisions.. |

Thanks! I’ve been squirreling away parts for a couple years. Only just now got around to the form one. I have a proper drum to put on it too. But wondering if I’d like this open top one better with a red dot on it. Also, only paint the cap! Not painting this Fräulein!! |

Why that instead of the other way around? |
