From Atlantic Firearms. MKE $1600 shipped to FFL. Thought this package was one of the better deals. Extras: 4 MKE mags, not 2 Case not sure others provide case. Cleaning kit Rail Sling Brace Attached File First inspection, only 2 minor items. First, some slight black removed and showing stainless steel around the area where the faux suppressor goes. Second, you can see the handguard doesn't appear aligned properly. Attached File The night before heading to the range, removed the bolt and greased it along with the inside of the receiver. Not a light grease either.  Ammo used for Testing. Blazer 124gr MagTech 124gr MagTech (steel) 115gr Federal Black Pack 115gr - did NOT like this ammo. 3 out of the 4 ammo tested Although it was not flawless, excluding the Feder Black Pack, I am very happy with the results especially after reading numerous threads about these being the luck of the draw. Issues encountered. When using full 30 rounds in the mag, the first round would hear click and not fire. Strange but no firing pin indentation either. This happened 3 times, after that I only loaded 27 rounds and that issue stopped. Double feed, only happened twice. Ejected brass stuck inside. This happened about 6-8 times. About 3 of those times, the brass fell into the receiver area. It was a bitch to try and get out. Should have popped the pins to get it out but these are very very tight. Removed the faux suppressor and put on my own and that was pretty cool. The can actually looks good on it. At about 100 feet, adding the suppressor caused a drop about 6-8 inches. Anyone have the issue of the extracted round getting stuck in the lower receiver? Also, what mag loader are you using? My usual mag loader doesn't work with these mags. |

1/2 x 28 thread It also has a tri-lug under the sd cage.  I just put a dead air wolfman on mine, it looks pretty damn good and fills up the cage pretty well. just a small airgap around the suppressor. these also have some improved parts, like the later style ejector. I haven't had to change any parts, my other AP5's with the SEF pack needed the ejector updated due to throwing brass at the ejection port, and I replaced the extractor while I was at it. The SD ran great out of the box for me, and of course I brushed out the barrel & flutes to ensure any shipping oil/crud was out before running it. |

I too had brass in the receiver mechanism after a few hundred rounds of 124 gr. No idea what was the cause. Any ideas or recommendations to prevent it from happening again? |
