Had to move my safe which was bolted down into the slab. Got my future SIL to help move my big stuff, so time came to move the safe. We pulled stuff out and let him drool over some stuff, like an AK and he really went nuts over my FAL....man i love this gun in COD.. I whip out the breaker bar and FU from the bolts. Okay.....pulling out the big guns. Dug out my dad's electric Craftsman impact from the late 60's or early 70s. Hit the rear bolts.....here they come. Hit the front bolts nothing...holy sh*t. Tried again and again. Pulled out a torch and hit the bolt heads....nothing. I finally gave up. Had to fall back and regroup. New plan, kid says he will bring his dad's impact and I ask him if he can dig up a piece of pipe when he comes back. So he shows up the next morning and hands me this little 18v Milwaukee impact. I looked at him like "this little thing is supposed to do it when the craftsman could not?" He was like idk, but it is supposed to put out about a ton of torque. So I hit those bolts and damn if they did not start moving. So when they came out I see that the rear bolts were about 5" and the front were like 8".... Damn, could not believe that little impact moved those things. SIL said, "glad it worked because I forgot to bring a piece of pipe. |

I don't have any myself, but I feel like Milwaukee is taking over, either by making better products or just better marketing and sales. From all reports I have heard, it been better tools. Everything I have is DeWalt, Kobalt, Bauer or Hercules.. My boss in Michigan is slowly converting all their gear to Milwaukee.. |
