| The only ones I knew of were "OE" mags from CDNN, and they haven't been in stock for a couple of years. |

Mr. Eric Schellhorn, Director of Sportswear & Accessories, Ruger Firearms contacted me on 4/30/2018 to discuss my evaluation of the OE brand mags for the Mini I sent to Ruger via the 'Tell the CEO' link. He explained that they don't make mags, they contract for them and that they have been happy with their selection. When I pointed out that OE's design was more like the M14/M1A's and that my testing of 200 rds out of each style confirmed that the OE were every bit as reliable as the Ruger selection he remained unimpressed. When I explained that I had a single failure to feed during my testing of both brands and the failure was in a Ruger brand mag, not the OE. That the OE had better forming and spot welding and were being sold at 1/2 the price, he stated that they were happy with the current design and had no plans to evaluate the OE brand. |
