Just stumbled across this:
If it can FRT, will be a must have for me. Otherwise I'll just go for the 9mm AUG kit. |

Wasn't a huge fan of the single stack mag either. |

I have failed to find any of these for sale, anywhere, including Matador's site. Only finding article from shot show 2025. Are these really for sale somewhere? |

They are not for sale yet, coming out this year. Price is supposed to be $1800 Some people will find that pricey, but for a locking action 9mm bullpup that weighs weigh less than any pistol caliber bullpup that was ever offered (9mm X95, 9mm AUG and neither of those were locking actions) , I think it fills a niche and is in line with the pricing. Also, it has a trigger designed for them by Elfman triggers, and it is a really, really good trigger. Oh, and as mentioned- SUPRRESSOR NESTING- tuck that can in as opposed to being stuck with a 16" barrel like on the 9mm X95 and 9mm AUG. Sven Manticore Arms P.S. LOL, yeah, the style is very different, I know the designer and he has his own aesthetic, but props to him for trying something very different and I think it looks cool in its own unique way. |

Very cool, thanks for the info! It looks like a Colt pattern mag? Is that correct? I am heavily invested in Colt pattern 9mm so that would be cool. |

| Those iron sights will be unusable if the cheekpad stays as high as it is. The red dot will work OK, but will appear more like one mounted at 1.54" on an AR. |

Since you seem to have the inside scoop on this, do you know if it will be FRT/SS compatible? Need to know if I should start saving up |

| Their Mat9 roller delayed are still over 6 months behind in delivery. I've only been waiting 2 months for mine. i hope they get their stuff sorted out, but would not purchase anything else from them until they do. And I hope they do as I have heard good things about the RD mat9. |

Originally Posted By BSJ: My thoughts too. Grip looks real skinny above the palm swell. Wouldn't fit my hand... It's an AR grip, can be replaced with any other AR grip, the arrangement is on an angle to allow your elbow to drop into a modern "fighting" shooting stance even with the extremely short LOP when running no stock or the available brace (shorter than the stock pictured). The safety and trigger pivot are all angled to match so that it feels and manipulates exactly like an AR, but with better body mechanics for it's intended use. |
|
Wish the distance between grip and mag was longer. This is only marginally better than having the mag in the grip. I love a pcc with the mag in the grip. I also love bullpups. I just think with a bullpup I'm wanting either more barrel (rifle) or more suppressor (pcc or smg). |

"manipulates exactly like an AR" I guess the AR cultists will like that. |

Yes, a safety that manipulates like an AR was a specific design request, and for many good reasons. I guess I could have made it more bullpup-y and be a cross bolt on a string manipulated behind your head by your big toe on the support foot.

It's a purpose thing. https://matadorarms.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Gray-right-facing.webp Hell yeah! I am officially sold. Do you have any plans to make a short butt pad? I think you’ve really got a winner with this one. I’ve never liked any of the 9mm bullpup conversions because they lack the roller delay. I did like the scorpion, but it still felt too bulky for what it was. Even the scorpion itself felt bulky to me anyway though, so that’s likely my personal preference. I like small guns haha. A forward mag release would be nice for the running gun guys, and I do like that a lot, but I’ve got enough experience with bullpups that it’s far from a dealbreaker. I also like the colt mags. For one I like colt, mags, and for two, the aesthetics are pleasing to me. I can’t wait to get my hands on one and give it a sweet Cerakote job. I’m gonna have to get two; one for something normal to slap in my go bag, and another to do in a ridiculous “Borderlands” Cel-Shade theme to hang in my shop! I’m 6–2 but shoot my red dot equipped guns with the AR stock fully collapsed, so I appreciate the grip angle. AR Fire controls are going to make sense for pretty much everyone. |

The "Pistol Brace" we have developed is shorter - otherwise it's just 1913 back there so hopefully some other vendors work up cool options. I like the short config and personally just throw andold school Troy or KAC rail panel back there Thanks for the compliments also! I'm sort of stumped at the idea of an AR grip and safety being a negative but hey, the contrarians are going to contrary. It's just good that they have other compact, lightweight, delayed, modular, side charging, hydraulic buffer and FRT/SS compatible 9mm bullpup options like the *checks notes* um, well.. |

It's basically an ELF-SE with no shoe or cassette - which is known to work well with various SS variants, Atreus, etc. So what I added was a rear selector hole. It will ship with a plug from us or Elf, but you'll be able to drop in a SS - push button would be preferred, but even lever would work - or others can make full drop in packs using our pull lever once they RE that. I'll reach out to a few people to make some that don't have "safe" as an option, so it's push-pull for Semi or FR, if desired. I'm not up to the second on the numbers, I passed this change just now, so there is a SMALL number that don't have the safety hole in the back. Anyone who wants to order one soon, just reach out to Matador ahead of your order and specifically request current production WITH the rear safety hole. In a few weeks it shouldn't be an issue and all will have it. |
