Been passively looking for a Martini Henry 303 for a while and stumbled across this nice Bonehill .22 conversion for the Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs. Took it home for a good cleaning and will shoot it later this week. Owner said it had good accuracy and it certainly looks nice next to my 1892 Webley MkII.

Nice. I have several martinis ( all centerfire) and they are a unique experience especially the effort to find empty cases and appropriate reloading components and reload for them. Always wanted a nice 22 version, but they can get expensive. Some of the English gun forums have great info on these and sources for quick load blocks, parts and sights to maximize accuracy potential |

I have owned a Bonehill Martini .22 for many years. One of my favorite things to do is take it to the range and shoot better groups than guys with modern rifles with optics. I also have a Martini-Enfield in .303 that I never seem to get around to shooting. Used to have a Martini-Enfield garrison carbine in .303. Most obnoxious recoiling rifle I have ever shot. Guaranteed headache in ten rounds or less... |
