Thinking about getting a Marlin/Ruger 336 Dark Rifle. I’ve seen a couple of them online for sale but have yet to have seen one (or any of the Dark Rifle series) in person. Not interested in the Henry version. Anyone have one? Thoughts? I do have an original Marlin 1894 in 44 mag and a 39A, which I love. I’m thinking the 336 Dark Rifle with the threaded barrel would be a fun little suppressed hills deer rifle for around here (we have a Black Hills deer season and a prairie deer season where I live). I am also looking to pick up one of the new Marlin 1894 Dark in .357 mag. I think they pretty new so only few reviews out for them. I can say, that Ruger Marlins appear to be really well made guns so I don’t think you can go wrong with one. |
