Now that I have one. Being an almost 80 year old guns, and while it was rebuild by an arsenal decades ago, I am sure the springs are shot and mags are trash. The mags are old as Hell too. Is there a spring kit I should look into? Aftermarket Mags? All my mags for it are seemingly USGI mags. Prob wore out. Some were fully loaded for years |

I was just figuring to ensure it runs great from the get go.I might need to look into some springs and what not as some of the mags sat loaded for 20 years |

I recently picked up one of these kits and plan on eventually replacing all the springs, parts, etc. in mine when I find the time. As it is currently it will have some FTFs/FTEs with certain ammo types. Hoping new springs will make it run smoother. I have two US GI Inland. Woolf gun spring kit for both. Original GI mags run great. KCI mags are thinner than GI and seem to wear quickly. They run, but they won't see 70 years of use. I bought about 10, and I will not be buying anymore. Keepshooting.com makes M1 Carbine magazines that are as good as or better than original GI mags. I have bought 2 dozen 15's and a dozen 30's so far. They go out of stock and/or on sale now and then. |
