I'm about to trade for a lightly used M249S. As we all know, any true "gun guy" just can't leave anything stock. So.... I'm trying to find someone with the ability to convert said M249S into a semi-auto version Mk 46 Mod 1. Anybody out there that can do this without making a mess of it? Thanks in advance. |

Well, you won't be able to replicate it exactly, because the MK46 doesn't have the magazine feed ability or the pintle mount holes on the front - and the M249S has both. You'd also need to SBR it. Outside that, the remainder of the items are bolt-ons AFAIK. | Well, it works without issue and doesn't look bad with the HK lower, even when compared to my M249S. The biggest worry I have with it is that the custom hammer it uses - the really long one - if it breaks, it's going to be a custom job to get another one made. |

If I recall they were just 308 HK hammers. But it’s been a sec and I didn’t assemble the packs, a short dude was the one who assembled those. I did the receiver, top cover, and threw the completed furniture on which the barrel, bipod, stock were all factory add ons from FN usually. The trigger packs I installed on the rifle but didn’t do the sub assembly |
