Hey guys, New to the forum but been a longtime lover and collector at times of some pretty nice gear. I was at a gunshow a few months ago and was able to buy a BNIB SR-25 ECR for its 2014 msrp. I obviously couldn’t turn it down, but I also wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it either. Fast forward to now, I was recently able to buy a urx2 which i was thinking, hey maybe I’ll do an m110 clone with the ECR. But now im unsure. Partly because it wouldn’t be clone correct anyway as I will leave the rear end alone as I prefer the sopmod( and new adjustable b5) to the A2 style stock and I really do love the 3.1hg on the ecr and think it will look bad ass with one of the new griffen cans( when the re release them in a couple days I plan to buy one) On the other hand I have several ECCs and no EMCs maybe I should put the urx 2 on one of those? Just for some variety ?? I’m not sure, what do you all think? Advice appreciated folks! Thank you! |

A dialed in M110 is a beast and crowd pleaser at the range. Lives up to the hype and can convert naysayers to KAC. If you want one like I did then you will need to do this eventually. I think that an ECR is a good a start for that journey especially if you stole it from someone for 10 years ago pricing. Then starts the hunt for the parts. Last I saw, Geno has the buttstock for $3K on GB and for another $750 you can get the gas block. The correct scopes are showing up here and there for $1500-2500 depending on condition etc. Another $350 + for the mount, then $350+ for the hider ...  I am sure you have done the math.Remember though, an M110 is a big, heavy rifle. I also have an EC with the URXII and it is my fav shooter. Great M110k1 type vibe pretty much out of the box without the chrome lined barrel or dimples etc. Where you have spare guns with chrome lined barrels etc. - add URXII and never look back. Then sell your ECR to fund the purchase of an already built M110 clone and you are right where you want to be. With the pricing and availability of the parts for an M110, I would bet it will be just as "fast" and cheaper (because you should be able to make money on the ECR for the right buyer) to find and buy one already done. If you hunt around a little with the google, one if the usual suspects still has the original pricing on line for the Delta uppered guns released by KAC a few years back, I would have bought 2. Let us know what you end up doing. |

Thanks for the input. I’ve been just looking at photos and I agree there’s just a nostalgia to these things that can’t be denied. Being in the position I’m in the rifle could be completed for under 10k as I got the rifle for 6 and the rail for a staggering $2500. But I’ll probably be able to sell the 3.1 for similar. Have a line on a buttock from a gracious member who recently reached out, and at that point it’s just choosing an optic. I’d probably go with an atacr 4-16 as I just can’t stand that leupold. With optic and griffen can, I’d be in around 12ish with the cerakote and work to be done by NS Luckily already have a 34mm mount and probably wouldn’t change out the gas block as it’s just an eyesore to me personally. So not exact. But perhaps a bit enhanced. I just found the test target for the ECR. .566. She’s a laser ( although I’ve never shot it) I think I’ve made a decision! M110 baby!!!!! |
| Go M110! You won't regret it! I took an unconventional route and threw a Magpul PRS stock on mine and I love it. I didn't want to pay ridiculous prices for the original stock and I think it also looks aesthetically pleasing with the PRS. Just need a suppressor for mine now |

A question I definitely was asking myself recently because I think the prs lite looks great on it too. Ended up finding one at a really good price through from a gentleman I’ve done some Kac parts trading with before so I’m going to try the A2 style first but may very well end up going prs if I really don’t love it in the end. |

Ah - if you dont care about clone correct then I agree with you 100% for what it is worth. Pics when you are done or it didnt happen!

Absolutely will post pics. Can is already being shipped to my door and I can’t find an m110 muzzle device anywhere. Does anyone have one? Even a griffen one? I’ve got a long tine mams in both 5/8ths and 3/4ths bunch of SFMBs new in wrapper both 5/8ths and 3/4ths, legacy KAC flash hiders in 34ths. And a 3 prong 1/2x 28. Happy to trade! |
