I have a hunt coming up. I'm a big fan of suppressors as rock them on most of my guns. But I have a .338 Win Mag / build that I got for super cheap. I was curious if there's any reasonably priced cans out there for .338 win mag or if anyone as done it before. I get sort of sucked down this fallacy when I just try to look at specs. Being that it seems .338 ARC or 8.6 BLK has much lower pressures so I see some folks running cans that are meant for compact shortys. But I'm not sure if they'd work decently or if at all on a more hunting purpose .338 win mag due to the pressures. I've seen a few premium cans out there but they all seem to be pretty expensive. When i start to look at more budget friendly cans they seem to teeter into "is this even safe on a 338 win mag?" range, lol. TIA. EDIT: Tuna cans may seem to have something. Not sure if anyone has experience with them. I'd even be open to rolling my own from a kit. |
| Look at some of the 35 cal stuff like the 36M too. Smaller and cheaper than a lot of 338 cans. I’m spacing the name but there was a company I ordered a 357 can from and it’s rifle rated. You could order them in different lengths 6, 7, 8 etc. I bought one on sale and threw it in the closet. |

Rex Silentium is what I have. I think they had some issues and shut down but have what looks like a basic website back up now. Zeroed 36 https://cmmg.com/zeroed-36 36K https://cmmg.com/zeroed-36k Lots of companies making multi use stuff. If you find a can you like and it doesn't list magnum rifles definitely ask. I'd think that anything rated for 308 and a short barrel would live on a 24" 338 Win Mag but I don't know shit and am not a lawyer

| I have an Ecco Accipiter with a .375 bore. It works well with my .375 Ruger and will do the job well on your .338 also. They offer it in both stainless and Ti versions. Mine is S/S, since the Ti version costs more and was out of stock when I ordered. I also don't mind some extra weight on a .375. They also have excellent communication and customer service if it becomes necessary. |

| We are making a .338PRC can with the brake front currently. That's going to be around $980 or so I think. It's pretty solid and segmented to try to be moderately affordable for the .338 Arc or other caliber people. |
