I have not fired mine yet, so I have not disassembled it. Where would the engraving be, or is it so obvious that you don’t need to tell us? Harvey, you are absolutely a stand up guy. If we meet, beers are on me. I love transparency and honesty. |

It's right on the side of the bolt, cant miss it. For context for anyone who is curious: It has come to our attention that a very small number of bolts from our early production runs did not meet our quality standards. If you have one of the affected bolts, it can fail in a way that may cause damage to other parts in the upper receiver. While this is not a safety issue, we want to ensure the best possible experience for our customers, so we are replacing every bolt that shipped from our facility between December 29, 2025 and March 31, 2026. If your order shipped after this period, your bolt is not affected. As of the date of this notice, we are aware of two failures involving one of these bolts. After completing an internal quality audit, we believe the percentage of bolts shipped with this defect is less than 1%. However, we decided to replace every bolt in this batch out of an abundance of caution. The replacement bolts also include some small improvements that will increase reliability. These replacement bolts are being provided to you free of charge, including all shipping costs. Over the next few weeks we will be shipping them to the address on file from your original order. No action is required on your part unless your shipping address has changed. If your address is different, please let us know within the next 5 business days. If your address has changed please send us an email to [email protected]. This notice applies to the bolt only, not the entire carrier group. If you are unsure whether your bolt is affected (especially if you bought from a dealer), you can check the engraving on the bolt itself. Bolts engraved with “L6” are part of the affected batch and qualify for the free replacement. Bolts engraved with “LIMA 6” are not affected. At LIMA SIX, we stand behind every product we make. We sincerely apologize for this issue and any inconvenience it may cause. Our goal is to build the most reliable belt-fed uppers on the market, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this right. Thank you, Harvey Shuhart President LIMA SIX |
