I have a Liberty Centurion safe. While moving recently, it fell off the hand truck, the door opened and bent the top hinge. It has the inside hinges. I was able to slam the door shut to move it, but needed plastic wedges to open it back up. I got the door off with help and I heated up the hinge and have it back relatively square. Problem is I can't figure out how to get it back on. It's just a large pin that drops into a hole on the inside. I talked to someone at Liberty in Utah but they said the doors are installed by a machine and didn't know anyway to help. The door weighs about 80-100 lbs by our estimate so it's a workout. When closed, the door sits in a recess in the safe itself. Here is the problem...I need to lift it up another 1/2-3/4 inch to drop the pin where it needs to go. The recess won't allow that to happen. I haven't been able to figure out the right angle to have the door so it clears the recess and lets the hinge pin go far enough in where it needs to go. ARF is my last hope..... |

Sounds like you can't lift it with the door in the closed position because of how the door and front of the safe are built. Can you get things aligned and installed with the door open and raised with a floor jack under the bottom edge and have someone else get the pins started and then lower the door with the jack to finalize the pin positions? |
