I have a Marlin Classic 1894, .357, 18.5" barrel. Would like to get the barrel threaded. Anyone use a specific Gunsmith? edit: I found this in a thread below: Louthan Gun Works Would just be easier to buy a new 1894 Dark Series. |

Depends on how much you’re willing to pay. I got my classic for $600 on clearance and I love the wood/blued barrel but even with the $350 I paid Louthan I’m less than a new threaded model. Although I do love the factory threaded models I own, to me, the classic is beautiful and my favorite. It was well worth the price for me.

I want to do the same with my 1894 .44, but was worried the barrel might be too thin. What threads did you have yours done with, 5/8"-24 ? |
