Wanting to pick up 5k large rifle mag primers for use in my 300 win mag. 5k should last me a long time with it. I am debating between the 3 listed. CCI is the most expensive, but I trust them. Ginex seem to have good reviews, but I hear reports of being hard to seat. I have never used any. But being a little big may help brass that is starting to get loose primer pockets. White river seems to be the cheapest, but also not much info/reviews out there specifically for the LRM primers. I have some factory 2nd small pistol primers that I am pretty sure are white river, and they can seat a little loosely in some brass. Republic ammo had free hazmat this weekend. $325 for CCI, $265 for white river. Graf's has ginex for $273 plus $23.50 hazmat (so $296). All of these are plus shipping too. Anyone have any input specifically for large rifle mag primers for ginex or white river? |

I can't really help because I use Federal GMM215M's. If I could offer some philosophical advice, I'd say go with what you know will work, what you trust. A few years from now, when you've worked your way thru the primers, the cost will have long sice been forgotten. |

True, but I am always frugal and try to get the best value for my money (or bang for the buck). While I am not opposed to spending my money, I always try to find the best deal I can. I do kinda like that the ginex are slightly tighter, as it seems 300wm brass, the primer pockets start to get loose quicker than other calibers. I'm still debating. |
Of your 3 listed I would use CCI, simply because I have used them before and trust them, but my go to LRP magnum primers for everything that uses LRP magnum primers is RP 9.5M primers...I just find them to be excellent, consistent primers..I also use RP for normal LRP(9.5) use and 7.5 for SRP's as well..But thats me..

I have enough Fed GMM 215’s for a while. CCI’s are a reliable tested workhorse. So, I’m thinking I’d like to try White River primers. Was gonna buy them for my 5.56 loads, but I have like 5000 CCI 450’s so maybe next time. If I were buying primers for something not for precision shooting, it would be White River from Republic. |

While what I am shooting out of it right now are not precision loads, I will be eventually going in that direction. I thought about off and on since posting this thread, and went ahead and spent the little extra money and got the CCI 250's. It is not a round I shoot just super high volumes of, but shoot enough to want a supply of primers for it. I have been using CCI 250's since I started loading for it a few months ago, and they have worked perfectly. If it was something that I just plinked with like 9mm, 45, or 223, I do not think the primer choice would matter as much. Just ordered a couple min ago. Just got in today on the last day of the free hazmat at republic. Still $25 shipping, so $359 total. So $71 per K delivered, while my local gun store has them for something like $95 per K |
