Attached File Borrowed from TFB's POTD last week Link the Vector site for the Gen 3 Reads like some ergonomic improvements, better trigger, way improved upper design in my eyes, compatible with AR grips, better lower, more flexible handguard design. I had kinda had dismissed the Vector with the prior generations and especially the dumb Gen 2/2.5 upper changes that made putting a stock on it harder than necessary. The Gen 3 fixes all my design complaints so I'm pretty curious now. I like that the pistol is 1913-stock compatible and they have a nice one ready to go. I'm stumbling into the Glock 21 world right now so having a compatible PCC/SBR is very appealing to me. Anyone have a Gen 3? Played with one yet? |

I’ve got a Gen 2 SBR with the Gen 1 style stock hinge and a Gen 1 stock so probably not worth it to upgrade but I would definitely like to shoot one and see how they compare. I do think the Gen 2 trigger gets a bad rap. There’s a very simple modification you can do by replacing one of the screws if you take off the top rail that make it much better. |

Thanks. I like it too. I'm sure I spent way more on it than I should have, but I wanted the iconic Gen 1 stock. Originally, I had an adapter that fit onto the Gen 2, but it didn't look right, and the latch to hold the stock in a folded position didn't line up properly. I wanted the Gen 2 trigger, so I had to buy one of the hinged Gen 2 uppers, which was not easy to get. Then, got all the other accessories; the rail, the grip, the sights, the mags, etc... Was the end result worth it with regard to practicality? Nope. An MP5 or CMMG Banshee does all this does for a third of the cost... but the KRISS has the cool factor in spades. I'm also surprised that KRISS as a company is still alive. Other than people like us, who buys their guns? |

I have a gen 1 that runs like a scalded cat. Such a rad gun. I smile every time I shoot it. Nothing turns more heads at the range. Looks like nice upgrades, I am glad to see it still has relevance and they are keeping it alive. I'd buy one in 10mm for the truck all day long. |

Love your Thompson M1. I have an SBR’d M1 and probably love it more than any of my others……….even though it weight about 13lbs. Much respect for GI’s that had to hump that in WWII with a full load-out of stick mags.. |

Attached File I couldn't help myself. I'm planning on Form 1-ing this within the next week or two so that crappy triangle brace will go away. It's worked great on other pistols but suuuuucks in this application, ha. That's why the factory stock drops so much lower.Overall nicely made. The trigger is really nice like the reviews have stated, I didn't get my gauge out but it isn't heavy and the travel and reset are pretty short. It could be shot fast. I am surprised at the resistance on the charging handle; heavier there than I was expecting. I'm sure it'll smooth out with time. I put the 3-lug adapter on, it's the MP-5/40 spec one from Griffin. I have the matching adapter for my suppressor but I didn't want to take it apart for the pic. The mag release ergos are... different? The motion is weird since you're actuating the pistol-mag style of release. It feels very European in usage. This is probably the only PCC that uses Glock mags that doesn't look like a pile of dung.  I am setup in the Glock 21 ecosystem already so it fits in and I appreciate the relatively affordability of magazines there. It balances nicely when handling and feels natural otherwise.That trapezoidal window seems to have been left specifically for NFA engraving, so I'll give a +1 to Kriss USA for the forethought. I know the "receiver" is the hunk of metal underneath that plastic housing so I was flipping it over and over thinking "well, you can engrave on the barrel" until I noticed it. The reverse side has the OEM model and manufacturer. Good solution when the receiver is wrapped in polymer. Very nice touch. |

I recently saw that there's a frt trigger in the works for the vector. Then I saw the changes made for the Gen 3, looks like they fixed my main dislike with the gen 2, the way one would attach a stock/brace to it. I have a bunch of glock 21 mags, it really has me thinking about picking one up. However it looks like there is only black available for the gen 3 pistol variant right now. I wonder when they plan on offering other colors? I was also hearing from someone that had a gen 1 machine gun at their range. He said it kept breaking firing pins and having feeding issues. Did they fix most of that with the gen 2? |

Well i just picked up my gen 3 sdp yesterday. Neat firearm, the action looks like it has some luger influence. I submitted for my $100 rebate.  The trigger isn't bad, but not as nice as i was hoping. The takup is a bit heavy. I'm happy to see that my older gen glock 21 mags lockup fine, but they don't support a reversal of the mag catch. Glad I'm right handed!

Picked up a .45 cal Gen 3 a couple of weeks ago, and immediately submitted a Form 1, which was approved in a couple of days. Because of the weird design, figuring out a stock I liked was a bit of a problem. Didn’t really care for the factory stock with the large drop at the rear to the buttpad. You’d think having a pic rail rear end would open up a bunch of options, but the small size of the rail was a bit of a problem. A lot of pic rail stocks are designed for something like a Stribog with a larger rear rail section, so the clamp on the stock is much larger the compact 2-slots rail on the Gen 3 Vector. Also, stocks with one cross bolt tend to have part of the clamp hanging above or below the rail, depending on whether you put the cross bolt in the top or bottom slot. Finally, I don’t really like high optics, and the optic is already quite high compared to the barrel axis, and a straight stock pretty much requires a high optic mount on top of the rail. I decided (for now) on an A3 offset stock, which allows a reasonable (for me) optic height, as well as a height that makes the backup sights usable without jamming my cheek into the top of the stock. Thought I’d missed out on the $100 credit because I bought it after the 6/30 end, but it looks like Kriss extended their promotion.  " /> |

It’s the standard 7.75” offset stock extension. The attachment points on either end for the 1913 adapter and the butt plate are the same. You just unscrew the screws and swap the ends around. |

I finally got mine out for a little run of about 400rds. I slapped the triangle brace on there from my ak-v. It needs a red dot and a riser for that config. Thump of the .45 and me trying to aim through the irons resulted with me pushing my cheek down against the brace so i could see the sights a little. The recoil impulse was like being lightly slapped with a stick across the cheek.  I didn't really see the recoil reduction hype until I started doing some rapid fire. Very little muzzle rize. No failures, even with the extended 30rd mags. A fun and unique piece added to my collection.

Hopefullly you have had some time to do some testing. Do you feel the offset alleviates the cheek slap? I tried a higher sight to change things with no improvement. I'm wondering if it's worth investing in the offset stock or not. |

Yours is the pistol length barrel and mine is the 16 inch. That suggests to me the longer barrel, which makes it front heavy already wants to push the rear up. When the reciprocating mass comes up and forward it kicks the rear up into the cheek. To me that seems to be the obvious difference. I doubt the change in the stock will help much. I also mounted a red dot on a 1 inch riser too. I have read others suggest pulling it in extra tight to the shoulder will help. I have tried that with the same results. |

My engraver did it upside-down from the direction I preferred (my OCD wanted it to face like the serial did) but it’s okay. They squeezed it in there and that’s what counts! I do think that’s exactly why that space was left there, since the metal under the polymer housing is the actual “receiver” for the Vector. (I edited out my name and city for the pic there, which is why it looks blank.)Depending on how all the NFA lawsuits go next year, I may get my own laser and try messing with some AR scrap 80% lowers. Wouldn’t want to take one of these on though until I had it figured out! |

Grave digging my own thread! Took my 13-year old daughter out shooting the first time today. Let her try a couple handguns, the Kuna, an MP5K, a Mk18-ish clone, and the Vector. Her hands-down favorite was the Vector with a suppressor. It was super quiet (like a nail gun), extremely accurate, 100% reliable, and the weight distribution was okay enough for her. It was a last minute addition to the trip so I only had 100 rounds of .45 but she burned it all up except for 10-15 I used to zero and check the suppressor. The mag release is taking some getting used to for sure, but it really impressed me and a teenage girl. Kriss is doing something right! I’m looking at the 9mm now too. If you are interested in a .45 PCC, I can absolutely say the Vector is worth taking a hard look at, and the prices have remained pretty stable since I last looked. The Gen 3 is also a winner all around on the improvements. |

 Here's my Gen 1. Love it as it has the correct folding stock AND flashlight holder. I picked up a Duality FRT but doesn't seem to fit well with the Gen1 trigger group. May futz around with it and see if I can get it to work as I cen't seem to find a Gen2 trigger pack |
