So, I have a Vector .45ACP Gen 1 and I also have a Duality RATL-R FRT. Apparently the RATL-R wont fit the Gen 1 trigger (jury is still out on that as internet sources are scarce). I'd like to know if the Gen2 or Gen3 FCG will fit a Gen1? My "assumption" is they didn't change the mounting or made minor modifications to how it mounts. Any ideas from the hive mind as to whether a either Gen2/GEn3 FCG will be good to go? Obligatory pic:

I thought I read that you can upgrade to the later FCG, but I'm not seeing it mentioned in their parts listing for the G3 group. https://kriss-usa.com/kriss-g3-vector-fire-control-group-semi-auto/ I would say email them; the one time I reached out they got back to me quickly. |

Thanks, I'll email them. I also have a 3 Position Metal RATL-R Safety Cam coming. I'm pretty excited if this all works out. I thought about the Gen3 upper, but I really wanted the flashlight hole |

There might be some things to make it work. I think in the Gen 3 guns they had some differences since it was designed with a gen 2. They have a page on cults that have files and updates as they come out. So if you do have a 3d printer, you have options w/o needing to bug them. Page: https://cults3d.com/en/users/dualityarmsco/3d-models I printed out a Nylon glass fiber (PA6 GF) safety cam, and they have some pack shims. I added one of those and I got much better feedback. I'm probably adding a second shim once I get around to taking it apart again.  I can't burrt with a suppressor. I think it needs more shim. |

I recall this subject/question coming up before and thought there was some interchangeability. Having dealt with Kriss customer service before I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to them for tech assistance, the problem you might run into is the parts availability. That being said, NOT a fan of the RATL-R… I watched the Administrative Results YouTube review of it which sufficiently piqued my interest. I noted Admin’s difficultly with the trigger’s…subtleties…which he apparently at least somewhat overcame. I installed mine along with the (optional and $70 more expensive) CNC machined aluminum selector; the carbon fiber one that they include feels vague and janky AF. The installation video is excellent (unlike the Dorin Technologies’ one for X-PRT, which is a dumpster fire) and while mine is properly installed it is wildly inconsistent. All the tips and tricks for manipulating the trigger to get it to run in FRT mode firmly place the RATL-R in the range toy category and NOT for serious use. With the selector in the third/FRT position I could get a single, a 2-3 round burst or mag dump with zero perceptible change in trigger pull. It completely lacks functional reliability. 0/10 would NOT do again. With a CMMG Banshee .45 that has a DTT/RBT FRT that runs flawlessly suppressed or unsuppressed, +P or standard ammo, trying to get the Vector to run is a lost cause which REALLY sucks because I’m a huge fan of the platform. |
| Thanks for the input! I had the Gen1 trigger pack out and all disassembled except for the last piece (which the RATL-R replaces). It matched up with the Gen1 well enough, but with the pin slot offset it was enough of a difference to not go any further. Also, I could not get the holding pin out unless I used extreme force. So, re-assembled and did a function check. I've since purchased a pin vise and will retry. Still waiting on Kriss to respond. |

| Ok, I received answers to all of my questions. A) A gen 2 or Gen3 FCG will not fit the Gen1 upper. B) They could not answer the RATL-R question. C) I can send in my Gen1 upper, but will lose my flashlight hole). I guess my option is to contact Duality and see if the have any tips or just do trigger finger exercises... |

And a new twist… I finally heard back from Duality, they say the Gen 2 FCG will indeed work in a Gen 1. Saying numerous people have done it. They did mention that even though it fits physically, it will take some tuning to get it run reliably. New FCG shows up Wednesday, guess I’ll be futzing around with this in the evening. I can only assume Kriss says it won’t for legal reasons? |

| OK, quick update, the FCG fits and functions. The Brella cam/Duality FRT however, does not. The FRT currently works in safe and FRT mode (no idea if actual FRT, but function check releases the hammer), but not semi. According to Brella, I have to shave off a little bit of one of the cam corners. Which, I sort of figured out by rotating just a smidge past semi. I found an easier way to remove the cam, so I might try the Duality printed cam to see if that works. |

Also to increase that "nudge", duality has those 3d printable shims to bring the pack down a bit. I suspect they are geared more towards the gen 3 models, but i dunno. I haven't worked with duality directly, just picking up little things here and there. With no shims, i can do partial mag dumps, usually sets of 3 or 4 bursts. One shim, i can nearly dump a mag, but usually it's a second burst to do it. Of course 45 cal and 30rd extendos. I only tried once to do it suppressed with one shim, it was disappointing enough that i didn't bother to supress it on my next outing. I still need to get off my ass and yank the pack again for a second shim install...
