    Picked up my KAC DTS from jail on Monday, no opportunity to take it out yet thanks to work and weather. A couple of quick thoughts: Build quality is great as expected. The can threads on very tightly to the rifle, likely due to indexing off of the muzzle. The suppressor also came with four of the little widgets you can see in one of the pics. No instructions on what they are (no instructions at all) but I’m guessing they’re either a shim or some sort of friction locking device. |

One of the best performances I’ve heard on a large frame gas gun, and the brass flies at almost a perfect 4-5 o’clock. No failures to feed or other issues, the system works very well as intended with zero modifications to the gas system or buffer. One cool factor is the use of venting on the front of the suppressor. It gets filthy so it’s definitely working. It can get loose but I’m sure enough carbon will get in there with time to lock that up. The last time I shot it was next to a Sig Cross with a CAT JL AC. The bolt gun was quieter, but not overtly. All in all, I would absolutely recommend the DTS. |
